The Data Scientist, Customer Insights at Cornerstone will be responsible for analyzing and understanding customer data and insights to help inform and drive business decisions. This person will use their expertise in data analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning to identify key customer insights and trends. This role will collaborate with our product, service, and marketing teams to test hypotheses and develop solutions to drive customer growth and retention.

This position reports to the Director, Customer Insights.

In this role you will…

• Mine and analyze customer data and insights to identify trends and patterns that can inform business decisions
• Develop and maintain machine learning models to better understand customer behavior and predict outcomes
• Collaborate with our product, service, and marketing teams to identify opportunities for growth and improvement based on customer insights and data-driven decision making
• Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques
• Use statistical analysis, data visualization, reports, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to key stakeholders
• Build and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines to support ongoing analysis and experimentation
• Align the value of customer insights metrics to key business metrics such as revenue and renewals

You have what it takes if you have…

• A Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a related quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, mathematics
• Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests, and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications (SPSS, etc.)
• 3+ years of experience in data science, including predictive modeling and machine learning
• 3+ years of experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
• 3+ years of experience managing data pipelines across matrixed data systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Superb collaboration skills

Extra dose of awesome…

• Experience with customer insights/data analysis in a SaaS setting
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL
